“My skating experience is fairly limited - I grew up skating on a frozen river in skates that offered no warmth and even less support. I would have loved the opportunity to have formal skating lessons and experiences. I look forward to helping develop a skating club that exists to serve the membership and provides a safe, fun and welcoming experience for all levels of skaters, regardless of what area of skating they choose to pursue”

“My experience with figure skating growing up consisted of shoveling off a spot on a local pond in New England a few times a winter and having some fun. As a mom of 4, my kids have varied interests and while a few have tried skating, currently one is enjoying figure skating with Skating Club du Nord. One or more of my kids have been skating since 2019 first in Mankato, MN and now in Duluth. I’m delighted to be a part of a collaborative and inclusive club that centers the personal goals of each skater.”

“I figure skated here in town for 13 years. I passed my Senior MIF + Senior Freestyle tests. I competed all over the country + spent a fair amount of my high school summers working with coaches at the University of Delaware. I was lucky enough to compete in the only arena on the Hawaiian islands!
I am a registered nurse in Duluth at a day surgery center. I’m currently in school for my MSN in leadership. I also own an interior design business + enjoy woodworking in all my spare time.
Figure skating was my passion for 13 years + I want my daughter’s generation to have the same experience I did growing up. Figure skating is more than a sport; it’s a family + teaches so many life skills that I use everyday.”

“I have been involved in the skating world since my daughter began skating two and a half years ago. Professionally, I work in the Finance and Operations Division at St. Louis County. I am passionate about this club because I want to foster an environment where every skater is recognized, welcomed, and celebrated. What our skaters achieve is physically and mentally demanding, and I believe every skater deserves support”
